Khadi Gram Udyog's Stall at SMS, Meera Bagh: Going Swadeshi with Khadi

 Can there be a better way to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti than to promote Khadi? Our school organized a special stall in collaboration with Khadi Gram Udyog, that featured a wide range of products, including clothing and everyday essentials, all made from handcrafted Khadi fabric. 

This initiative aimed to promote the principles of self-reliance and sustainability, values championed by Mahatma Gandhi. The display highlighted the elegance and simplicity of Khadi, a symbol of India's independence movement. Students and visitors were encouraged to support local artisans and embrace eco-friendly, handcrafted products. The event not only celebrated Gandhi's legacy but also raised awareness about the importance of sustainable living and the revival of traditional crafts. The stall attracted significant interest from both students and staff, making it a successful endeavour in spreading the message of Swadeshi.
